How much Pilates is enough?

I often get asked “how much Pilates is enough?” and my response is always. ‘it depends…what do you want to get out of it?’. However I’ve become aware that there seems to be a trend for doing Pilates just once a week, and, as many of my clients have heard me say, this just isn’t enough. Yes, doing Pilates once a week is better than nothing, and for many who are simply looking for that hour to themselves, to focus on their bodies, to breathe, relax, move mindfully, (which of course in itself can be incredibly beneficial), or for those doing other forms of exercise during the week, once may well be enough. Building exercise into everyday life

Exercise doesn't always need to involve spending a lot of money nor setting aside hours of your week. Those who know me well, know that I'm all about building it into your everyday life – let's make things as easy and fun as possible for ourselves! So, here are a few top tips for building exercise into your everyday life: Practice your standing posture at every possibility – while waiting for the bus, tube, to be served etc. Do some squats, push-ups against the kitchen bench, stretches, balancing on one leg etc while you're waiting for the kettle to boil.
