Pilates is all about precision and quality of movement therefore we highly recommend you start with at least one private 1-1 lesson to get to know the basics before you progress to an online class. This will greatly increase what you will get out of your Pilates practice. Private lessons are taken in your home or workplace and can be bought in packs of 1, 5 or 10. Or you can purchase our ‘Intro Pack’ which gives you 1 private 1-1 lesson plus 3 online group classes. Details of private lessons can be found here.
We will be re-introducing beginner classes and workshops in the near future so make sure you are signed up for our newsletter to hear news of these and more! in order to master the basics before you progress to a mixed-ability or intermediate class.
All of our group classes are offered online via zoom with class links easily accessible and emailed to you 1 hour before each class. Our class numbers are small and teachers highly experienced on this medium to allow for individualised attention.
If you have any concerns about doing classes online, please feel free to get in touch – we will hopefully be able to answer any questions and help allay your concerns.
If you would like to do Pilates in-person, we offer private Pilates lessons in the comfort of your home or place of work plus Reformer lessons in London NW11. Get in touch to learn more – info@ilovepilates.org.uk
Yes. One of the things that makes I Love Pilates special is that we offer group classes with smaller numbers and teachers highly experienced with working online. This enables you to receive individualised attention. Our teachers build an understanding of each person’s needs and capabilities over time and work to balance this across the class. Do get in touch if you have any concerns about this or if you would like help with your home set-up to best enable this.
As all of our classes are offered online, we don’t have any group Reformer Pilates classes. However, we do offer private 1-1 Reformer lessons in London NW11 or in your own home if you own a Reformer machine. Get in touch if you’re interested in exploring this – info@ilovepilates.org.uk

All classes are an hour long.
Getting your joints and spine into the best possible alignment before moving is a key aspect of Pilates, therefore it’s useful to wear clothing that isn’t too loose. That way your teacher will be able to see your alignment. Something you’re really comfortable to move in but still enables this is perfect! It’s good to have a warm layer of clothing as you warm up and down and with Pilates, we work barefoot or with socks – non-slip socks with a sole grip are great if you have them!
If you have a yoga/Pilates mat, great! If not, lying on something that offers some cushioning (a thick towel or blanket) is also fine to start with. With private lessons, let us know if you need the teacher to bring a mat for you to use.
We operate a strict 12 hour cancellation policy on all group class bookings and 24 hours on private lessons and corporate classes. There are no exceptions to this in order to make it the same and fair for all.
Doing Pilates once a week really is the bare minimum. Research shows that regular exercise is needed for good health and well-being and we’ve found that the magic number seems to be 3 times per week, interspersed with other activities. This can be achieved through a combinations of group classes, private lessons, a corporate class at your work and practice at home. Talk to us about how to get the most out of your Pilates practice and we can advise according to your goals, budget and lifestyle.
Each class pass come with it’s own validity period therefore it’s important to select a pass you will be able to complete within that time and one that best fits with your budget and lifestyle. These validity periods are there to encourage you to get the most out of your practice. It really is important to do Pilates regularly in order to reap the rewards. If you are practicing twice a week or more than our unlimited passes offer great value for money!
