Reformer Pilates uses a traditional piece of Pilates equipment called a reformer, originally designed by Joseph Pilates in the 1920s. Consisting of a frame, a sliding carriage, ropes and pulleys, the reformer adds resistance to the Pilates exercises through the use of springs. Through this, the intensity of work can be varied considerably from one person to the next, making it an incredibly versatile piece of equipment and lessons are tailored to your specific needs and lifestyle
Reformer Pilates is perfect for rehab, sport-specific training, increasing cardio performance or for general muscle strengthening, joint stabilisation, stretching and improving balance and co-ordination
If you have your own reformer, private lessons can be arranged in your own home. Or you can arrange lessons in one of two of our private reformer studios in London in NW11 or N14.
Lessons can be taken on a weekly basis or as an adjunct to your group class work and are perfect for:
- anyone new to Pilates wanting the best introduction to the method before joining a class
- anyone needing rehab from an injury or illness
- those seeking more individual attention
- anyone wishing to progress more quickly
- people of all ages and all levels
- individuals, couples and small groups
- those wanting flexibility with schedule and location
